同時，聯合國官方微博昨澄清，國際法院是聯合國主要司法機關，根據《聯合國憲章》設立，位於荷蘭海牙和平宮內；至於與同樣位於和平宮內、1899年建立的仲裁庭，沒任何關係，此仲裁庭只是「租客」，租了其中一間房。

劉振民說，海牙仲裁庭不是國際法院下的國際法庭，與位於海牙的常設仲裁法院（PCA）是不同系統，PCA只為仲裁庭提供祕書服務，庭審使用常設仲裁法院大廳而已。

    從事國際法研究的廈門大學教授蔡從燕說，仲裁庭是只要付錢連私人事務都管的調解組織，該組織成立117年來共接受16起仲裁請求，仲裁協議執行率0％。
